Drill Weekend equal Boring Weekend

Eric had drill this weekend.

BORING. What that equated out for me was sleeping, cleaning, and balancing the check book. BOO URNS to that.

At least I felt like I got a lot accomplished.

So we saw the Golden Compass on Sat. It was good/bad at the same time. I was really suprised at how "jumpy" the film was in regards to the flow. It kinda jumped here and there but still managed to lag. I found that really suprising given that I could not put the book down.

One plus for the film...I had heard that they were cutting out the "religious" aspect of the film completely (or trying to) but was happy to see that they did not. They clearly explained that dust was original sin and also that the Magistrium was in fact the church (the biggest give away being when the ice bear crashed into "city hall" and the walls were decorated with Iconic pictures)

There were a few plot diviations from the book such as when Lyra visits the Ice Bears. In the book she rescued the children first THEN goes and visits the ice bears. Also, when Lyra finds the little boy in the shack, in the book it was a random kid clutching a piece of dead fish acting like that was his deamon and in the movie it was actually her friend Billy Costa.

I did think the casting was very good. The girl who played Lyra was perfect, Nicole Kidman was excellent (though I did always picture Ms. Coulter with dark hair).

I wonder if they are even going to put out the next two films given how poorly The Golden Compass did at the box office. I hope they do.

Anyway guess thats all I have for now.

Eric's xmas party for work, is this weekend so I'll be busy with that.

Christmas was wonderful!

Luckily dinner went off very well. We had a total of 11 people over at the condo. Eric's parents,brother, and aunt and uncle, my mom, sister, and brother and his girlfriend.

I actually cooked. I know i know crazy right? So i made a turkey breast, ham, sweet potatoes, broasted potatoes, spinakopita, salad, rolls, and figs. My mom brought stuffing, Erics mom brought broccoli casserole and white chocolate raspberry cheesecake. All of which was delicious.

Eric and I got eachother tattoos and a variety of little gifts. The tats look great!

New years we headed up to Milwaukee and had a good time. It was also our 1 year anniversary if you can believe that.

At anyrate, things overall are going well. A few bumps here and there but such is life.

Anyway heres to 2008!

Man it HAS been forever.

So many update to provide and not quite sure where to start.

Well Eric and I FINALLY found a place and moved in together. We ended up getting a condo in Salem, WI. Its really nice. We were hoping for a house BUT everything in our price range was garbage and quite frankly we don't have the funds available to do a massive revamp on a house.

So, that being said, Eric and I are doing marvelously. We'll be comeing up on a year on 12/31 if you can believe that! Crazy I know!

I had an awesome birthday. My friends took me out to our local bar and had a great time and then Eric took me to the Sybaris on Sat. Tbat was LOVELY.

We have another dog...yes another....her name is Kira..she's a pointer mix.

That brings the zoo to 2 dogs (Jables and Kirra), two cats (Jager and Gizmo) and 3 snakes (Princess, Happy, and Narcissuss). Currently Happy is AWOL. He's been missing for about two days so PLEASE keep your fingers crossed that we find him!!!

Eric and I are having Christmas at our house. I'm REALLY nervous about it. Lots of people are going to be here and we have to get the house together and I am cooking. Yes me cooking! Crazy I know.

Eric and I are getting eachother tattoos for Christmas. So that should be fun.

Oh yeah for my birthday Eric got my collar bones pierced for me. It looks AWESOME!!

IT's been a while so check it

My brother brought it to my attention that I hadn't posted here in like ten million years so here I am.

So what's new?

Not a whole lot. Still working for Hewitt which for the most part is awesome. I love my job and the people! I'm now at 6 clients and again special projects. Had my first review in June which went amazingly well.

Well Eric and I still haven't moved out much to my annoyance. That's okay though it's given us both time to get our finances in order. Now we are looking at an apartment in East Troy, WI. Kind of a drive for me to get to work but once the Toyota is runnign it shouldn't be a big deal...at least until the snow comes. We shall see though.

Family is doing well for the most part. The lil sis is out in Colorado with my brother Ryan. I'm so jealous. I wish I could just pack it up and move somewhere. But now I'm fully divested in to "real life" and everything else. Enjoy it Jesse while you can!

Dad called me the other day. I don't get it. He has this really awkward southern twang which I don't understand seeing as he's been there less then a year but whatever floats his boat I guess.

Anyway, I guess that's all for now. I'll try to keep this updated better. As for now it's shower time and then off to work. At least though it's Friday and pay day! yay! Later.

I Hate Snow

I hate snow. I've decided. It's getting well into april and we are supposed to h ave 3-5 inches of snow. How lame is that?

At anyrate just a few quick updates:

Work- Work is going very well. I enjoy my job and suprisingly am good at it. I'm now taking 5 clients managing their 401(k) as well as special project work. I'm so thankful that I was able to land this job.

Boyfriend :)- We are also doing very well. Had a few things to talk about but things are good and I'm extremely happy. Eric and his buddy Benny are looking at buying a house together and flipping it so Eric and I should be living together before to long. We are going on 6 months now as crazy as that is. Eric's b-day was the April 1st. That was a fun weekend. I got him tickets to Blue Man Group. lol to bad we can't use them. turns out he has drill up at fort mccoy that weekend. bummer to that. So we are still trying to make alternate plans.

Family- Everything there is good too. Jesse is just about done with school for the semester. Mom is doing well. Mark came up for easter. It was good to see him. My other brother is getting married at the end of the month. I'm so excited for them!

Health- Eh that's not so good. I go in on Friday for a biopsy and cancer screening. Not good and I'm definately nervous. I suppose we shall see how that goes.

I guess that's all I have for now. Just wanted everyone to know i'm still alive and kicking.

It's Been A Bit

Hey hey! Not to much new to report here. It's been almost a month since I last journaled here. Eric and I are doing well though if he doesn't talk to his work soon about getting off for my brother's wedding soon I'm going to punch him in the head ;)

We saw 300. Twice. That movie is awesome though I have decided that secretly it's pro-war proganda. The film is very much about preserving freedom and the courage of the men who fight for that freedom. It also has a scene where someone is trying to convince the council that the war is necessary blah blah blah. Also in the film the enemy is the persians...who happen to wear turbins...you get the picture.

At anyrate...money wise things are a bit stressed. MY mom and I have to figure out how we are going to pay for my sister's school and I have a lot of bills due this month. I'm also trying to scrounge the money for a flight out for my brother's wedding. HEADACHE.

Anyway, medically things are still amiss (for those of you who don't know I had a trip to the emergency room) Hopefully everything will be fine. I think I need to call my dr. though shortly. *sigh*

Well I guess that's it for now. More to come soon.

Busy Busy Busy

Busy Busy Busy.

This weekend was very hectic. Friday I went and got a monroe piercing. I love it! Thanks Eric! Later that night Eric and I went to look at a house to rent. We ended up getting stuck on the driveway! So we are sitting there trying to rock in and out and just not getting anywhere and it's FREEZING. So finally a kind pedestrian pulls up to help us and tries to push the car forward out of the ditch we are stuck in. He ended up accidentally smashing the tail light. So, this guy tries to help us for at least a good half an hour and we end up catching a ride with him over to the local diner. From there we caught a ride with one of Eric's parents friends. After that we round up Joe, one of eric's buddies, and use Eric's dad's truck to pull the car out. What a mess!

Later that night we went to see Ghost Rider. I slept through the whole thing. Eric said it was really good. The feeling I got from the film for the little I did see was as Uncle Hyena put it "a third rate super hero" movie but good enough to have entertainment value.

Saturday we just had various errands to run. Eric was trying to get his tail light fixed. I needed to feed the snakes so we just kind of ran around getting all that done.

Sunday was fun. Shot archery in the morning. Then went and looked at a house for rend in Silver Lake. YUCK. and then we went off to see the Milwaukee Admirals at the Bradley Center. It was suprisingly a lot of fun. I never really cared for hockey. In fact found it a little barbaric if anything. But I found myself cheering on the fights as much as the next guy and really getting into the game. Either way it was a good time.

Monday night Eric and I cooked dinner together and just crashed at my house.

Eric got a job finally by the way. He's working at Buelle somewhere outside Lake Genva. Today was his first day. I'm really excited for him!

In other news...it appears that my car dearler rolled back my mileage on my car. I found that out yesterday on a Carfax report. I'm totally going to sue those guys. anyway guess that's all i have for now. later.

Yay the week is almost over!

Valentines Day was yesterday. Eric did very well for me ;) He got me a bouquet of roses and some chocolates and the best poart? A gift certificate to Lake Geneva Tattoo to get a piercing. Rock to that! I got him a new belt, a belt buckle, and a watch. I hope he liked it! We ended up going to the Tast of Italy in Silver Lake. The food was awesome :) I love the bread there!

This weekend should be relaxed (at least I'm hoping!) We are going to go see Ghost Rider on Friday. Then Saturday I'm hoping to go get my piercing. yay! Sunday we have early morning church, then we are going to go look at a house for rent, and finally head over to the Aqua Ducks Water Ski Team. So Sunday is pretty busy but I should be able to get rested up at least.

Other then that not to much more to report. Getting my travel plans together for my brother's wedding. Getting my bills caught up. Being a bum.

I need to get a book to read. I haven't read in a while and I'm getting really lazy about it. And I miss is. I think next week I'm going to spend a day by myself and just sit and read for a while and hang out. We'll see though. Anyway I guess that's it for now. Later!

Blah Monday

Monday is here. And what a blah one it is. It's snowing out and really dismal looking. I guess I should be glad that at least it's not freezing out side.

This weekend had it's highs and lows.

Friday night Eric and I went out with some friends bowling. That was pretty fun. Not to exciting but whatever.

Saturday ended up just lounging around and being bums. That was kind fo nice though i didn't get as much sleep as I would have liked. Sat. night we went to a local bar and hung out with Ashely for a while. Didn't stay long. THen we headed off to one of Eric's buddies parties. THat ended up being more drama then it was worth. One of his Sgt.'s ended up hitting on me right in front of Eric. and the Sgts girlfriend was there and got all pissed. So Eric and I left. After we left I heard that the guy was also hitting on our friend JOe's girl Chrissy. SO lame to that.

Sunday Eric shot for the Valentines day shoot. He shot very very well. I saw a bow for sale there that i wanted to buy. But i don't think that i can afford it at this time. Oh well.

In a very blah mood today. :/

Long Week

OMG it's been a long week. I can't believe the super bowl was just this past weekend. It feels like a few weeks have gone by already.

Man this weekend has been off for me. The car dealer showed up at my house demanding additional documention. I was so freaking mad!

Monday Eric's brother was in a gun fight over in Iraq. I guess they were firing rocket propelled gernades and such. One of the guys in his unit was killed. So please keep both Eric's brother and the young man who died in your thoughts.

Last night Eric and I had to take his dog into the emergency vet. The poor thing was seizuring and it was horrible. So we took her in and such and she got looked at. I talked to Eric earlier and he said she seemed alright and what not for now so that's good. I was worried about her!

I think tonight is a night strictly of sleep, a book, cigarettes, and a good cup of coffee.

Man, this weekend was busy and I'm exhausted!

Friday night Eric and I with a bunch of his friends went and saw The Messengers. That was a disappointment. It had a pretty good "startle" factor and the acting wasn't bad but the script and plot sucked. Particularly the ending. What a bummer. I was really looking forward to it. This Friday we are supposed to see Ghost Rider so hopefully that is a bit better.

Saturday was hectic. Eric and I were running around. We looked at an apartment. It was GORGEOUS. Though I have a feeling it's not going to happen. My credit is garbage. And the other couple we are thinking about rooming with didn't seem very enthusiastic about the apartment. But we'll see. The place was three times as big as my mom's apartment. All hardwood floors throughout. Nice roomy bedrooms and big closets. And a sun room. And the best part is that it's like a block away from the lake. We'll see though. Besides Eric and I are looking cautiously. We don't want to rush anything and we aren't really looking to move out until May or so. We'll have been together for almost 8 months or so at that point.

After the apartment looking we went to his cousin's christening. It was fun. I met a TON of Eric's family. They all seem really nice. One of his cousins... a little boy about 7 decided I was the coolest girl ever for playing football with him and attached himself to me for the whole night. It was a good time though FREEZING!!!

Sunday was Ashley's birthday. So we went to Olive Garden with her family. Good food. TERRIBLE service. After that it was off to the Super Bowl party. What a BUMMER. Bears blew it. Rex Gross man deserves to be shot at this point. The rest of the team did okay but they couldn't recover when Grossman was fumbling the ball right at the snap. I mean come on!

This week is going to be busy as well. I have to get things straightened out with the car still. YUCK!! I'm so sick of dealing with this. I'm tempted to drop the car off at the dealer and say you deal with this and just be done with it.

Also, need to open a new checking account and get my bills figured out. Fun fun. NOT.

Tuesday is Jessie's birthday. She'll be 19 this year. Hard to beleive that. My things have changed.

I guess that's all I know for the moment. Might be heading down to Chicago this weekend or next to hang out with my brother. That should be a good time. Anyway I'm done for now. Later.

Not much to report here right now. Its been a LONG week. I'm so glad it's Friday.

Was sick on Tuesday. That was a bummer. I didn't go to work that day. Ended up sleeping quite literally all day. I guess I needed it though.

Wednesday was your typical day. Nothing to exciting. Didn't shoot archery since Thursday was going to be my first offical day as a Hewitt Associate vs. a temp. So that was pretty exciting and I needed to get some rest.

Yesterday, I sat in orientation all day. Yuck to that. It was going over stuff I already knew. I mean hello I have been working here for what five months now? Got out of work early though which was nice especially since they are going to pay me for a full day. Eric came over we watched underworld 2. it was pretty good. I like those types of movies anyway so it worked out well for me.

This morning I woke up way late. Yay for me. I didn't get up till 6 so now i'm feeling rushed and totally like a bum. That's okay I guess though. Tonight should be fun. Eric, me and a bunch of our friends are going to see the Messengers tonight. ANd try to hook up some friends of ours. Yay to that.

This weekend is my girl Ashley's 21st b-day so i'm going to lunch with her on Sunday and then to Benny's for the super bowl.

Some exciting news...I think I should be stable enough to move out this May or so. I'm really excited about that! I'm thinking probably Kenosha. I'm hopefully moving in with some friends of mine. So we'll see how that goes. wish me luck.

One final thought....that fucking car deal is still a mess. i'm soooo sick of this stupid bullshit. BAH. i'm going to rip out my hair in frustration in a minute i think. Oh well. Guess that's all i have for now. Later.

So this weekend had it's ups and downs. Friday I was supposed to go to a fishfry. Well I ended up getting stuck at work until after 5 p.m. So I went home and just crashed out.

Saturday I helped my mom around the house and did some Valentines Day shopping for Eric. Drove over to his house later that night. We went out to dinner to this little Thai place in Kenosha. It was actually really really good. I had some kind of chicken lettuce wrap and Eric had fried rice. After dinner we met up with one of my co-workers and his girlfriend. Some of Eric's friends met us up as well. That was a lot of fun. Though I was exhausted by the time we got home.

Sunday we shot archery. I didn't do very well. Then we were supposed to go sledding with our friends Benny and Kim but the ditched out. Ended up going and seeing Epic Movie instead with a bunch of people. I didn't particularly think it was all that funny but whatever. After that we went to IHOP. Had a sort of state of the union talk about some friends of ours and their relationship. I felt bad for gossiping sorta but there may be a needed intervention. Eric was so awesome by the way. I had some laundry to do and it was pretty late when we got home from the movie and such so Eric made sure my clothes were washed and dryed so I could go to bed. That was really awesome of him.

So this morning Eric is even greater still. He made sure i got up. Got my clothes out of the dryer. Went out and started my car and got the ice off as well. Well needless to say my car still didn't heat up. And i felt soooo bad. i was almost in tears and upset with my car and i don't think i was being all that nice to Eric. And here he was trying his very best. He got me tons of warm clothes and such so i could drive home and i was being a pouty little baby about it. Then it gets better. He's running around putting hot water in the radiator to melt the ice in hopes that my heat will kick on. So it's still not working and I'm miserable DREADING the car ride home in the cold. I start backing up and WHAM. I...hit...Eric...car. OMG I starting crying hysterically. THat was it for me I just lost.

ANd let me tell you guys. Eric was wonderful. Got me out of the car and gave me a huge hug and a kiss and said everything was fine and not to worry and sent me on my way. He is amazing :)

SO that was my weekend and Monday morning. I have a feeling this is going to be a LOOONNNGGG week!

Car Woes

So this week has been rather frustrating with my car. In fact it has been down right ridiculous.

I get a call earlier in the week from my car dealer telling me that i'm two months behind on my car payments. I'm like...what are you talk about? I hadn't recieved anything from anyone reguarding my car. I'm still driving on temp plates and a temp registration!

So I have to go down to the car dealership and they are going to start the loan over. Well somehow magically my car payments went from $260 to $300. I'm like are you serious?

I can't believe this. And there is sooooo much wrong with my car. My emergency brake light and my airbag light are on all the time. My windshiled wiper fluid resevoir is broken. My heat only works if the temp is above freezing. So at this point i'm FURIOUS!

It gets better though....so this morning I'm driving home from Eric's back to my house to get ready for work. When my temp gauge goes crazy and my check engine light goes on and my car starts smoking! So i pull over and call Eric trying to figure out what to do when two squads pull uip behind me.

So I'm talking to them and they are trying to see what's wrong with the car...yeah my radiator is shot. yay me! But it gets even better!

So eric says he'll come pick me up so I'm waiting in the squad car. Well the cop asks for my DL. Well this morning i was rushing to get outta eric's and get home and i just through my bra in my purse. WELL...i pulled it out for a sec to get my DL and I..left...my...bra...in...the...cops..car!!!! I was like are you serious?

So I'm having a lovely morning. but i did make it to work on time so i guess that's a good thing. and now my car is sitting on the side of the road in Kenosha, WI.

Yay me!!

Weekend Recap

Howdy howdy. It's monday. boo to that. I'm most definately ready to go back to sleep. My weekend was really really good though.

Friday night Eric and I went out to dinner. We went to Famous Dave's. Eh. that's what I say to that restuarant. The cornbread muffins were amazing but the rest was just okay. And my food was kind of cold when I got it. Though our waitress was excellent. After dinner, we went and saw Pan's Labyrinth. It was actually really good. A little hard to read subtitles when i'm exhausted but oh well. The only other thing I didn't like about the film was how the story is kind of telling two stories at once. WHich is all well and good but I thought it focused way to much on our reality and not enough on the fantasy aspect of the story. But whatever. Either way i enjoyed the film immensely. I ended up staying over at Eric's and we pretty much just crashed after we got home. I was totally exhausted.

Sat. Cleaned house with my mom for a few hours, then Eric came over. We went shopping and bought dinner and breakfast stuff. We made tomato basil alfredo with apple crisp for desert. It was delicious! Then we watched AMityville Horror. I don't know how good the story was but it was pretty interesting because the movie was shot in Eric's hometown and I recognized a lot of the scenery. After that we watched Gramdma's boy or something to that effect. Dumb humor. but it was pretty funny. Then we both passed out.

Sunday, was breakfast of Bailey's French Toast and bacon. Folowed by archery shooting. That was TONS of fun. THough i'm not very good at it. Takes practice I would imagine. I can't wait. We are going again on Wednesday.

So that was my weekend for the most part. I'm so tired today! I shouldn't be though. I got plenty of sleep! OH well. I guess that's all i have for now. Later.

Ch-ch-changes...time to face the change

Hmm....first post here. Figured it was time to start new and leave the old behind.

Nothing to report really. It's been a fairly typical week. Work Monday-Friday. Fun this weekend. My heat keeps crapping out on my car though when it gets cold. that drives me bonkers. I need to get that fixed. And I think that my tire is about to explode. That can't be good. Oh well.

For the weekend: Dinner and a movie tonight. Eric and I are going to go see primevil I think. Not sure how into that I am but I promised I would watch it. Saturday its house work and laundry during the day followed by either bowling or something. Eric is staying over then we are getting up, making breakfast, and going to church. Should be fun.

I went snowboarding for the first time this year. OMG that was fun and funny! I fell. ALOT. It was such a great time though. I like it alot.

Two of my brothers are getting married this summer. Ryan in April. And Sean sometime in the fall. I can't believe it. I'm so happy for both of them. Eric and I are going to try to head out to COlorado for Ryan's wedding. That would be way fun. Road Trip!

Anyway, I guess that's all I have for now.

I'm glad. Glad that I feel so good. Good enough for changes :)
